Analysis of Treatment Outcomes for Complications of Eye Contusions in Children
FULL TEXT:
Abstract
According to the WHO, eye injuries are the third most common cause of visual disability in children worldwide. Moreover, contusions in young patients have more severe consequences compared to adults due to the incomplete growth and development processes of the visual organ. The clinical presentation of closed eye injuries in children often "masks" serious structural and clinic-functional changes in the eye, which leads to severe complications. Early diagnosis and prevention of contusion complications are crucial for preserving vision and reducing childhood disability.
