COMPREHENSIVE APPROACH TO THE TREATMENT OF KERATOPATHIES IN PATIENTS WITH ADVANCED STAGE CONGENITAL GLAUCOMA

FULL TEXT:

Abstract

Congenital glaucoma is a rare but severe condition that often leads to disability. In the advanced stages of the disease, significant morphological changes develop, including glaucomatous keratopathy, which worsens quality of life, reduces corneal transparency, and aggravates the course of glaucoma. In current treatment protocols, insufficient attention is paid to the condition of the cornea, which necessitates the development of a comprehensive approach with a focus on keratoprotection.
