POTENTIAL OF DIFFUSION TRACTOGRAPHY IN COMPREHENSIVE RADIATION DIAGNOSIS OF SUBCORTICAL MASS LESIONS OF THE BRAIN IN CHILDREN

FULL TEXT:

Abstract

Central nervous system (CNS) tumors are the most common solid neoplasms in children and rank among the leading causes of cancer-related mortality in the pediatric population. Their timely and accurate diagnosis requires a high-tech approach, particularly given the complex anatomy of the developing brain and the frequent localization of tumors in functionally critical areas. The use of functional MRI techniques, including diffusion tractography, significantly enhances diagnostic capabilities and increases the safety of neurosurgical interventions.
