THE ROLE OF RADIATION RESEARCH METHODS IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF TRANSPOSITION OF THE MAIN VESSELS WITH A DEFECT OF THE INTERVENTRICULAR SEPTUM

FULL TEXT:

Abstract

According to literature data, 33-70% of patients with transposition of the main vessels (TMS) have an interventricular septal defect (IVD). Timely and accurate identification of the type, size, and location of the defect, as well as related anomalies, is essential for planning surgical correction. Modern radiation methods, including echocardiography and multispiral computed tomography (MSCT), can significantly expand diagnostic capabilities and reduce the need for invasive examinations in newborns and young children.
