NEURAXIAL BLOCKS IN SURGICAL INTERVENTIONS FOR CHILDREN WITH CONGENITAL ANORECTAL MALFORMATIONS
FULL TEXT:
Abstract
The choice of appropriate anesthetic strategy in children with congenital anorectal malformations is critical for the successful outcome of surgical treatment. Neuraxial blocks, particularly epidural anesthesia, in combination with general anesthesia, significantly reduce the need for narcotic analgesics and muscle relaxants. This contributes to smoother awakening, improved postoperative recovery, and a reduced risk of side effects.
